The Texas City Triathlon brings athletes together for a distinctive race along the shoreline of Galveston Bay. The compact venue keeps the action close, while the flat terrain, supportive atmosphere, and multiple race formats make the event approachable without taking away the challenge. Three ways to race
Each event uses portions of the same coastal venue, but every format offers a different race experience. Explore the options below before choosing your event during registration.
Triathlon

The complete swim-bike-run experience. Begin with a running beach start, continue onto the fast coastal bike course, and finish with a waterfront 5K.

Skip the swim and take on a run-bike-run challenge. This format offers the same bike course and final run while beginning with a separate two-mile opening run.

Combine the open-water swim and coastal bike course without the final run. Aquabike athletes receive an official finish after returning from the bike course.
