  • Triathlon – 500 m Swim • 15 mi Bike • 3.1 mi Run

Categories

  • Age Groups – Open to all participants.

  • General / Overall – Open to all participants.

  • Rookie / First-Timer – Reserved for athletes completing their first triathlon. This welcoming category allows beginners to race alongside other first timers, though participation is optional. The same courses and USA Triathlon rules apply.

  • Clydesdales & Athenas – Males 220 lbs+ / Females 165 lbs+

  • Guardians – Active or retired Police, Fire, EMS, Military, and spouses

  • RecreationalTimed but Awards Ineligible (Last Swim Wave) - For participants who can safely complete the swim but want extra support from approved swim aids.

    • Tow buoys are allowed in this category.

    • Neoprene garments are allowed in all categories when the water temp is 78°F or colder.

    • When the water temp is 78.1°F to 83.9°F, neoprene garments are still allowed but only in the Recreational category (no awards). Those that still want to use them but are not in the Recreational category race morning must switch to it prior to the start of their event. We will be able to easily accommodate this at race start.

    • When the water temp is above 83.9°F, neoprene garments are not allowed in any category.

    • Fins, hand paddles, swim gloves, pull buoys, and audio devices are prohibited in every category.

    • Participants must provide their own equipment. All standard bike, run, and transition rules still apply.

  • Relay Teams – Open to all participants

  • AWD - Para Athletes – For athletes with a disability or impairment eligible for Para sports

  • AWD – Guides - For athletes with disabilities who require a guide, we provide guide registration through our volunteer portal. Please note that we do not supply guides. Guide registration is free and intended only for individuals who have already arranged to guide an athlete. Guides register as volunteers and must contact us in advance to receive a password for access. Guides receive a swim cap, bike stickers, run bib, volunteer shirt, and food/drink, but they do not receive finisher medals, event jerseys/shirts, awards eligibility, or results listings.

Restrooms

Restrooms are available in the transition area, with additional units located near the post-race area parking lot as part of the city’s portable restroom setup.

On-Course Energy Stations

Energy Stations with water and Gatorade will be located at the Transition exit for the run, at miles 1.3 and 2, and at the Finish Line. There are no energy stations on the swim or bike courses, so please plan accordingly.

Post Race Food & Drink

All finishers will have access to post-race food and drinks near the finish line. The race is well known for its breakfast tacos and beer.

Course Medical

Medical staff will be stationed at the finish line and patrolling the course throughout the morning.
