Briefing

Virtual Pre-Race Briefing (below)

The race is nearly identical to recent years. If this is your first Texas City Tri, you must watch or listen to the pre-race briefing. If you raced here in the past year or two, it’s optional but strongly recommended.

The video is nearly an hour long (tips on how to speed it up, below), but it covers the race-day details you need to arrive prepared.

TO SAVE TIME AND MAKE THE VIDEO EASIER TO NAVIGATE:

  1. Open it on YouTube. Click the YouTube logo in the video player. This opens the video on YouTube, where the playback controls and full description are easier to use.

  2. Speed it up. Click the Settings gear in the player, select Playback speed, and try 1.25x, 1.5x or even 2x. You’ll still hear all the information in way less time.

  3. Use the description as an index. Click …more below the video to expand the description. The list of topics has clickable timestamps; click one to jump directly to that part of the briefing.

  4. Browse chapters on the timeline. Move your cursor along the video’s progress bar to see the chapter titles and previews. Click the section you want to watch or revisit.

Most of the details are also available on our website if you prefer to read them. However you choose to review the information, please come to race day prepared.
